Flights

The nearest airport to Annecy is Geneva International, just over the border in Switzerland. You can fly there with the 'low-cost' airlines (searchable with Sky Scannerfrom London, Nottingham East Midlands, Bristol, Liverpool or Newcastle

From London, you can also get fairly cheap flights to Lyon and Grenoble (not so easy to get to/from)

Of course, the big airlines (British Airways and Air France) have flights to Geneva and Lyon, but their tickets are often a lot more expensive. With all airlines, though, the earlier you book, the less it costs. Opodo is a good site to search through these more expensive flights.


From the airports, you can hire a car (from EasyCar or National for two days for around 120 euros) and Annecy is about an hour's drive (see 'by car' for more details)
